For the First unit of Economics, Grade 12 Elektif, we ask the students to make either a mindmap or poster incorporating all the concepts and principles learned in the unit: Basic Economic Ideas (A Level). This unit talks about Economic Efficiency which includes Productive Efficiency and Allocative Efficiency. It also covers concepts such as Externalities, Information Failure, which causes inefficiency provision of goods such as Merit goods and Demerit goods.
Here are some good example we pick on their work, which we consider as a good representation of the unit.
Besides the mindmap/poster, during the Unit we also ask the students to research on a company which applies efficiency in their production and present it in class. This is important as the research is an application on how the Economic Efficiency concept is applied in real world cases. The result of the research is to be presented in class.
